New Town Bidadari
NEW towns will be developed in  Bidadari ahead of demand, announced by the Ministry of National Development (MND).

Bidadari, a former cemetery whose graves were exhumed in 2001, will be transformed into a residential area for 40,000 residents, with over 12,000 high- rise homes. The site is slated for both private as well as Housing Board (HDB) homes. A National Development Ministry (MND) reported that the first batch of HDB flats may start to launch as early as 2015, and this could mean they could be ready by 2018. This plot of former cemetery near Potong Pasir, whose graves were exhumed in 2001 will make way for cater for raising housing needs. Consultants predicted this Bidadari could be like the next Bishan, which is also a former cemetery, yet its one of the most popular housing location today. The demand for housing near this new town could be strong due to relatively close proximity to city centre and well accessibility to major highways like CTE, PIE and KPE.
